Protein is not just for building bulky muscle in the gym. For an endurance rider, it is central to bouncing back between rides and getting stronger over a season. Here is why it matters and how to use it.
Every ride, particularly a hard or long one, causes small-scale damage and stress to your muscles. Protein provides the raw material your body uses to repair that damage and, importantly, to adapt, becoming better suited to the demands you keep placing on it.
